Straight anti-freeze will freeze and will not transfer heat as well as a 50/50 mix. Water also boils at a lower temperature than a 50/50 mix of coolant and water.

We inspect the radiator cap and overflow tank and pressurize the system to inspect for any leaks. We test the thermostat opening temperature, fan clutch or the electric cooling fan operation and check airflow through the radiator.
